The important numbers of the above graphic are the A, K, and SFI indexes.
The K index is the maximum amount of fluctuation in the earth’s magnetic field over a 3 hour period (the last 3 hour period).
The A index is the daily average (the most recent day).
The SFI is the Solar Flux Index and that represents the measurement of the amount of radio emissions from the sun at 2.8 GHz. The SFI will change frequently during the day depending on solar conditions.
Solar conditions directly relate to how good (or bad) radio waves will bounce around the earth’s various atmospheric layers.
The closer to 0 that the A and K index get, the better the propagation, and the higher the SFI (above 80), the better.
